Jen Clinton started Saltwater Palette in 2017 as a creative interpretation of her love for the New England beaches she grew up exploring.

Jen is a self-taught artist, and works in watercolors for their flexibility and atmospheric nature.
Her full-time career as an environmental economist has focused on coastal sustainability, and facets of her career wind their way into her watercolors - especially the fragility of coastal ecosystems and New England's rich sense of nautical history. Painting is her way of translating her love for coastal environments onto paper, and challenging herself to explore the one around her.
